American Payroll Association (APA) Certification helps individuals demonstrate your payroll expertise, secure promotions, advance your careers, and enhance your standing within the profession.

 
APA offers two levels of certification :
  •  The Fundamental Payroll Certification
  •  (FPC) and the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
  •  
    It is imperative that all APA candidates read the appropriate Candidate Handbooks prior to making an exam reservation for the testing window. The Candidate Handbook is the most comprehensive resource for prospective licensees.

          REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULING METHODS
    Exam Information : Candidates testing OUTSIDE of the US, Canada, Mexico, America Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, & Virgin Islands, with the exception of the US-DANTES locations, they will be testing on-demand. A candidate must wait six (6) months to retest.
    Pearson VUE collects all candidate fees at the time of registration
    Pearson VUE can edit candidate demographics at any time.
    Candidates need to request accommodations from Pearson VUE via the ADA/ESL Coordinator, as noted in “Accommodations” section.
    Registration and scheduling are not available through test centers. The APA candidate can schedule appointments through the Candidate website or through the Call Center, as indicated below:

            A candidate first applies for a login name and password for accessing his or her APA information. The candidate can use the login name and password to log in to the website in the future (if, for example, he or she needs to cancel the appointment

    Identification Requirement: Candidates are to provide two forms of valid ID, one primary with a photo and signature, one secondary with a signature as mentioned below
    Primary Identification:
    Government-issued driver’s license, passport, military ID, alien registration card (green card or permanent resident visa), state/country ID card, another government-issued ID, school ID, employee ID
    Secondary Identification:
    Any primary ID other than which is presented as primery ID, Social Security card, Bank ATM card, Credit Card (all with signatures)
