APBM : Association of Professionals in Business Management

Association of Professionals in Business Management (APBM) educates business professionals in all facets of business management through examination and continuing education. It promotes the value of Certified Business Manager©/Certified Associate Business Manager Designations to business and industry and to ensure that all CBMs / CABMs in good standing have access to the most current business management knowledge available

 
The CBM Designation validates the mastery of business management knowledge, skills, and abilities and is developed by business practitioners to meet the needs of practicing business managers
 
The CBM provides a common base of knowledge required of all business managers in all functional areas employed in all industries worldwide
 
The CABM stands for Certified Associate Business Manager and is a professional certification based on a pre-MBA curriculum. The CABM Credential provides a solid foundation for individuals seeking an MBA degree or the CBM Credential.
 
APBM is establishing educational pathways with leading colleges and universities at the graduate level for the CABM/CBM Credentials where the CABM/CBM may:
- provide differentiation in the admissions process,
- ensure readiness for the rigor of an MBA program, and/or
- provide credit/waiver of certain prerequisites/core classes, depending on the university. more..

      REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULING METHODS
APBM Exams are offered during six (6), one-month testing windows each year. Candidates may test during the months of February, April, June, August, October and December. Check the APBM website for registration deadlines managed solely by APBM. 
APBM Candidates must pass all four parts (exams) of the CBM exam series to achieve the Certified Business Manager certification. Although some candidates may take more than one exam in a day, each exam is registered and taken separately.
APBM determines which candidates are authorized to take an exam and then sends Pearson VUE records for each authorized candidate along with the candidate ID. The records also specify which exam a candidate has been authorized to take and the time period during which he or she can take it. The candidate cannot register/schedule unless he or she already has an authorization record in the database.
All payments for exam fees are handled through APBM. Pearson VUE never collects or refunds exam fees for APBM candidates
The APBM candidate can schedule appointments through the Candidate website or through the Call Center, as indicated below:

Doucment Requirement: The candidate MUST bring the original or copy of the admission letter to the test center on exam day.
Identification Requirement: Candidates are to provide two forms of valid ID, one primary with a photo and signature, one secondary with a signature as mentioned below
Primary Identification:
Government-issued driver’s license, passport, military ID, alien registration card (green card or permanent resident visa), state/country ID card, another government-issued ID, school ID, employee ID
Secondary Identification:
Any primary ID other than which is presented as primery ID, Social Security card, Bank ATM card, Credit Card (all with signatures)
